Wayne, Ind. from France when it was still a fort).9 He married Maria Catharina Bossert (1) (In a deed dated 12 April 1773, Philip Bossert and Evah Catherine Bossert deeded property to their son John Melchor Bossert, "except for 2 acres reserved for their son-in-law, John Sharpienter." Maria Catharina listed in communion records as Cherpantierin, meaning Cherpantier's wife).10,11,7,12,13 He died on 28 Dec 1798 in South Huntington Township, Westmoreland, PA.14,15,16
